What We Achieved During the 2019-2020 School Year:

Although the 2019-2020 school year took an unexpected turn due to COVID-19, the unwavering support of our corporate sponsors and individual supporters did not falter, helping Hoboken Public Education Foundation (HPEF) to raise over $200,000 in net proceeds. Your donations, volunteer efforts, and support of our pre-pandemic events helped us to fund new and important initiatives in the upcoming school year to ensure that Hoboken Public School students have the vital resources they need and deserve. We especially would like to thank our $5k and up sponsors Mack-Cali, SJP Properties, Academy Bus, KMS Properties and Tenafly Pediatrics.

What We Funded For the 2020-2021 School Year:

When the district was forced to shift from in-person to remote learning last March, and we realized that school would continue off-site through the end of the school year and that every child needed technology and wireless access in order to ‘attend school.’ HPEF pivoted our fundraising focus, going to work to raise the money needed to provide all students in grades 3-12 with their own Chromebooks. Through the amazing generosity of our sponsors and supporters, HPEF reached our 1:1 Chromebook Initiative fundraising goal, helping the Hoboken Public Schools to provide a school-assigned Chromebook to each 3-12 grade student – whether in person or remote -- for the 2020-2021 school year.

HPEF also funded personal art supplies for each K-12 student in the district. Students received art boxes with personal supplies, and middle school and high school students will be provided with individual sketchpads and pencils. All students were eligible for these supplies, whether remote or in person.
